Why an ADOS assessment is requested?

An ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) assessment is used to evaluate social communication, interaction, and behaviors associated with autism. It helps determine whether an individual meets the criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This assessment is often recommended when someone shows signs of developmental delays or difficulties in social and communication skills, providing valuable information for diagnosis, intervention planning, and support services.

Why an ADIR assessment is requested?
The ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) is a structured interview used to help diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It gathers detailed information about an individual’s developmental history, focusing on social interaction, communication, and repetitive behaviors. The ADI-R is particularly useful for assessing autism in individuals with developmental delays and for tailoring interventions based on specific needs.
